Community Cat Support Network's Kitten Heroes Program!

The Kitten Heroes Program empowers individuals like you to become champions for cats in our community. Together, we can ensure that every feline finds a loving home and receives the care they deserve.

How You Can Be a Kitten Hero:

Found Some Kittens? Here’s What You Do:

1. Provide Shelter and Care:
   Offer a safe and nurturing environment for the kittens until they are ready for their spay-neuter procedures and adoption.

2. Find Forever Homes:
   Utilize your social connections to find loving homes for the kittens within your community. Avoid surrendering them to shelters or rescues.

3. Support Spay-Neuter Efforts:
   Help trap and spay-neuter mother cats and any other unneutered cats in your area to control the population.

What We Do:

• Low Cost Spay-Neuter Services:
  We provide reduced cost spay-neuter services for kittens and adult community cats in need.

• Equipment Loan:
  Borrow traps, large dog crates, and litter boxes free of charge to safely manage and care for cats and kittens.

• Social Media Promotion:
  Share information about available kittens on our social media platforms to connect them with potential adopters. 

• Rehome by Adopt a Pet
  With our unique URL your pet will instantly be added to Rehome by Adopt a Pet. There is a small fee and we do have a coupon code available if needed, but you have to use our unique URL to list your pet. Visit here for more information on the Rehome service.  

• Education:
  Together we will build a resource center for new kitten owners and share best practices for safely rehoming.

What We Don’t Do:

• Finding Homes or Sheltering:
  We do not directly find homes for the kittens or house them at our facility.

• Microchipping, Vaccinations and Testing:
  While important, we do not provide microchipping, vaccinations, or FIV/FeLV testing. Adopters are encouraged to follow up with their regular veterinarians. With funding and support we would love to offer these services, but we are not in a position to at this time. We can provide low-cost if you would like to make it part of your rehoming fee or adoption package.

Why We Do This:

• Protecting Vulnerable Kittens:
  By keeping kittens out of overcrowded shelters, we reduce their risk of exposure to diseases and increase their chances of finding loving homes.

• Supporting Community Caregivers:
  Our program supports caregivers like you by providing resources and assistance to help manage and care for community cats.

• Promoting Responsible Pet Ownership:
  Through education and outreach, we aim to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the number of homeless cats in our community.

How to Get Involved:

To join the Kitten Heroes Program, contact the Community Cat Support Network at info@ccsnar.org. Simply provide us with information about the kittens; date of birth, pictures and names, and we'll work with you to coordinate spay-neuter procedures and any other assistance you might need.
